The Compendium highlights good practices in monitoring and evaluating CT and PCVE interventions from the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Coordination Compact entities, the European Union (EU), Member States, and civil society organizations. It is designed to help practitioners and policymakers improve their understanding of what works in CT and PCVE by providing practical insights and real-world examples of successful approaches to measuring results.
Ann Sutherland, Director and CPO of DeftEdge, is one of three experts who helped develop this joint EU-UN publication which was launched at a Side Event for the 2023 Counter-Terrorism Week on 20 June 2023.
Sutherland has over 20 years of experience in the field of evaluation and has worked on a wide range of projects related to improving evaluation processes, including for this sector.
“The Compendium is designed to be a useful resource for anyone working in the field of counter-terrorism and PCVE, including for those with limited experience in monitoring and evaluation,” said Sutherland. “It is also a resource for organizations looking to establish more systematic processes for measuring the results of interventions, and for using that information to improve the effectiveness of those interventions.”
