DeftEdge helps ensure organizations meet ethical standards and objectives on a range of issues, such as economically empowering women and refugees through access to finance and markets and mitigating the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities. (WFP, FAO, Pact, ActionAid, UNHCR livelihoods partners)

The AVSI Foundation, in partnership with Trickle Up and IMPAQ International, commissioned this gender analysis to assess the influence of gender dynamics on food security, nutrition, and livelihoods within the Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement and surrounding host communities in Kamwenge District, Uganda. The study’s objectives were to examine gender roles, access to and control over livelihood resources, and decision-making processes, as well as to map Gender-Based Violence (GBV) services and develop a Gender Mainstreaming Framework. The methodology included household surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews with community members and service providers.
